Wilma Smith age 101 of Holland died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Holland Community Hospital.
Born in Holland, Wilma was a long time member of North Holland Reformed Church where she attended the Women’s Guild and Bible Study. For the past few years she was also a member of the Bible Study at Rest Haven Care Center.
Wilma was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wynand in 1995, grandson Travis Nienhuis in 1975 and granddaughter Ruth Cook in 2011.
Wilma is survived by her children; Betty and Dale Cook of Holland, Joyce and Herbert Nienhuis of Holland, Marjorie and Gorden Nederveld of West Olive, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren as well as a sister-in-law, Ruth Vande Wege of Holland and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00PM at North Holland Reformed Church, 12050 New Holland St. with Rev. Steven De Vries officiating. Burial will be in North Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call on the family Sunday 2-4 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave. Holland and prior to the service.
Memorial gifts may be given to North Holland Reformed Church Mission Fund or Rest Haven Care Center.
