Wilma Deters Overkamp, age 100, of Holland, passed away Thursday, February 09, 2017. Wilma was born in Grand Rapids, lived and attended school in Hudsonville, and moved to Holland in 1952. She worked at Bradford Paper for 10 years, Holiday Inn for 7 years, and Russ’ Northside for 5 years. Wilma was a member of Central Wesleyan Church and a former member of the Butternut Drive Wesleyan Church where she served as organist for many years. Wilma was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Deters in 1967, two sons, Theodore Deters in 1940 and Leonard Deters in 2012, a grandson, Leonard Jay Deters Jr. in 1976, and her second husband, Louis Overkamp in 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy and Bill Hill of Holland; stepchildren, Alan and Shelia Overkamp and Jerry Overkamp all of North Carolina; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy and John Nienhuis of Hart; sisters-in-law, Jean Overkamp of Holland and Antonelli (Butch) Overkamp of Holland; several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday (February 13) in the Chapel of Central Wesleyan Church (entrance D), 446 West 40th Street, with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Resthaven Care Center or Central Wesleyan Church Mission Fund.A special thank you to Resthaven for their love and care of Wilma.
