William Vandenburgh Jr.

William H. Vandenburgh Jr., 76, of Douglas, Michigan and St. Petersburg, Florida, died suddenly in Douglas on August 31, 2023. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend to many people whose lives he touched.

Billy (to his family) was born to Jayne and William Vandenburgh in Albany, NY on January 23, 1947. After Bill graduated from Bethlehem High School in 1965, he went on to graduate from Drexel University, majoring in Restaurant Management.

Bill’s first job was with the State of New York in the Department of Aging. He went on to a lengthy career as a flight attendant with US Airways.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Jayne and Bill. He is survived by his sister, Madge, and brother-in-law Bruce of Glens Falls, New York, brother Herman and sister-in-law Adele of Canton, New York, his beloved nephews Will and Evan, his niece-in-law Elyse, and his grand-niece Addie. He is also survived by many close and loving friends from the Saugatuck-Douglas and St. Petersburg communities.
