William A. Thomas, age 99, of Holland died Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Inn at Freedom Village.
Bill attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force. Bill and his wife Rosemary owned a men and boys clothing and shoe store in Lombard, IL for 45 years. He enjoyed fishing and preparing the fish for family and friends and was very helpful caring for his family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary of 65 years and children: Linda Thomas of Holland, James Thomas of Nice, France, Paul and Nancy Thomas of Holland, Christine and Jeff Van Natter of Holland; grandchildren: Kenneth and William Kopka, Charlotte Thomas, Preston Thomas, Jeffrey Van Natter; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service with military honors will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church 480 North 152nd Avenue in Holland. Father Charles Hall will be officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Northwood Chapel 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. To sign an on-line registry or leave a memory please visit www.dykstrafuneralhome.com
