William C. Hill, age 79, of Holland went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Bill was a member of Central Wesleyan Church. He directed church choirs and was a worship leader for many years at Butternut Drive Wesleyan and other churches in the area. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and was a Holland City police officer. Bill and his partner started and owned Ottagon Plumbing. Later in life he was a building and mechanical inspector for Holland Township. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, photography and wood working at Evergreen Commons. He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Mary Jane Hill and his parents–in-law Louis and Wilma Overkamp.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy and children: Sue and Don Pabis of Allegan, Bob Hill of Hamilton and Chad and Melinda Hill of Layton, UT; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother: Dick Hill of Englewood, FL; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 17 at the chapel of Central Wesleyan Church, 446 West 40th Street in Holland. Please use entrance G. Reverend Larry Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in North Holland cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Monday, October 16 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland and from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Central Wesleyan Church Missions Fund. www.dykstrafuneralhome.com
