William "Bud" Mc Murry

William "Bud" McMurry, age 74, of Zeeland, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Zeeland Community Hospital. He attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion. He retired from Keeler Brass after 21 years of employment. He was also a docent at the Holland Museum. He was a submariner in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria; children, Gloria and David Van Kampen of Holland, William and Patricia McMurry of Zeeland, Terrance and Karen McMurry of Holland, and Pamela and Stacy Tobey of Safety Harbor, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother, Margaret Teesdale of Paxton, Ill., and Melvin and Gail McMurry of Spring, Texas; in-laws, James Downen of Oregon, Holleen and Jim Brazelton of Lombard, Ill., Maxine and John Taylor of Georgia, Carleton and Mary Sawyer of Chattsworth, Ill., Shirley and Bill May of Arkansas, Joe and Cindy Ballin of Missouri, Tom and Jodi Sawyer of Chicago, and James and Sandy Sawyer of Granger, Ind. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion. Arrangements are by the Yntema Funeral Home.
