Warren "Bill" Fitts

Warren “Bill” Fitts, age 85, of West Olive passed away peacefully at Blodgett Hospital on Monday, September 25, 2023.

Bill was a member of Westshore Christian Church where he served as an elder and he really enjoyed dressing up and doing skits in plays at the church.

He was very involved in sports, especially baseball, football, golf, and bowling. He coached little league teams and umpired for many years.

Bill took joy in greeting and talking to people at Meijer. He served in the National Guard for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Fitts, grandson Adam Fitts and brothers Jim Olin and Roger Olin.

He is survived by his children: Billy (Nancy) Fitts of Hamilton, Kathy (Al) Haveman of Holland, Denise (Mike) Jones of West Olive and Jodi (Jerry) Hershberger of Wyoming; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy (William) Brown of Holland, and Eva (David) DeRidder of Holland; brother: Mark Olin of Holland; sister and brother-in-laws: Marie (Ron) Ricketts of Florida, Carol (Don) Boyle of Holland, Wanda (Bob) Hosley of Holland and Albert (Sandy) Brookhouse of Holland; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. And his loving dog Misty.

A funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Westshore Christian Church, 3062 120th Avenue in Holland. Rev. JR Lightstein will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:45 pm, prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Westshore Christian Church.
