Virginia "Ginger" Hayes, age 80, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Mrs. Hayes was a Chicago native and was also educated at DePaul University. She was a long time active member of Harderwyk Christian Reformed Church. She had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Hayes was an avid gardener and was a friend to many. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Thomas J. Hayes in 2005; parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Leona Witteveen.
Ginger is survived by her niece, Diane (Dean) Weinhardt-Treangen; nephew, William (Cathy) Weinhardt; great niece, Kelsey (Eric) Sullivan; great nephews, Robbie (Jen) Weinhardt, Eric (Claudia) Weinhardt, Jake (Emma) Weinhardt; great-great nieces & nephews, Ethan, Emma, Nolan, Dylan, Caleb, Camilla; sister, Jill (Bob) Weinhardt.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 14, from 10:00am to 10:45am, at Harderwyk Christian Reformed Church, 1627 W Lakewood Blvd, Holland. A funeral ceremony will be held following visitation at 11:00am with Pastor Mary DeWitt presiding.
