Life Story / Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Traci Lynn Adolf, our loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, Aunt, and friend to all whose lives she touched.

Traci passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2020. She was 49 years old.

Traci was born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended St. Columbkille Catholic School and graduated from Papillion Lavista High School in 1988. Traci married her beloved husband and best friend, Scott Adolf in 1990. Together they raised their two children, Thane and Sidney. After living in Holland, Michigan for many years, they lived in Georgia and Missouri, and years later returned to Holland to reside closer to family and friends once again.

Traci was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her husband and children and spent most of her time with them. She was not only their pillar of strength, a shoulder to lean on, and ear to listen, but she was truly their best friend. She also dearly loved her parents, four sisters, many brothers and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews.

Traci had a vivacious personality and made friends easily everywhere she went. She was kind-hearted, honest, and never judgmental of others. She wore a smile every time she walked into a room and quickly became the life of the party no matter where she was or who she was with. She loved being around friends and family and especially loved to spread joy and laughter to those around her.

Traci was an animal lover and she adored her four dogs Minnie, Molly, Lady, and Luna whom she cared for like they were her children. She believed that our pets give us unconditional love and enrich our lives. She would be honored to have donations made in her name to Harbor Humane Society, 14345 Bagley St, West Olive, MI 49460.

Cherished wife of Scott Adolf of Holland, MI; adored mother of Thane and Sidney Adolf of Holland, MI; loving daughter of Terry and Marcia Pfannenstiel of Zeeland, MI; dear sister of Sherri Nosek (Jeff) of Nashville, TN, Kerri Nuechterlein (Mike) of Brighton, MI, Tara DeWeerd (Marcus) of Zeeland, MI, Mattie Bakker (Jason) of Zeeland MI; sister-in-law of Greg Adolf (Mary) of Papillion, NE, Jeff Adolf (Vikki) of Papillion, NE, Michaela Glesinger (John) of Papillion, NE, Steffon Adolf (Nikki) of Lavista, NE; adored by so many nieces and nephews.

All who loved Traci dearly will never forget her contagious laugh, her loyalty and her undying love for them.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 21 from 6-8 pm at Dykstra Funeral Home- Mulder Chapel, 188 W 32nd Street, Holland, MI 49424. No services are scheduled.
