On April 27, 2020, Tomas Mirelez passed on at the age of 47.
He was born on November 17, 1972 to Alfredo and Manuela Mireles in Holland, Michigan. After graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Mirelez served his country faithfully and was given an honorable discharge after a four year commitment. Tomas was selfless and always thinking of others with a natural ability to make everyone laugh. He was a friend, protector, brother, father figure and counselor to many. Most important, Tomas was a believer in Christ and a faithful servant. He was also a longtime member of Cornerstone Tabernacle in Holland. His favorite scripture was Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, is one Lord. As Tomas would say, "Jesus loves you".
Mr. Mirelez was preceded in death by his mother Manuela Mireles. He is survived by his Father and Step-mother, Alfredo and Catherine Mireles; Siblings, Hector (Patricia) Mireles, Lydia Mireles, Adrian (Alexandra) Mireles, Freddy (Paula) Mireles; nieces & nephews, Valeria Mireles, Victor and Victoria Perez, Vanessa Mireles, Veronica Mireles, Vianca Mireles, Sara Pritchard, Xavier Mireles and Gabriel Mireles; many great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held with the Reverend Douglas Wright presiding. The United States Marine Corps Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post 2144 will bestow military honors. Interment in North Holland Cemetery.
