Tom Mieras, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, September 27, 2018, at home.
Tom was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of Marinus P. and Ruth (VanderWerf) Mieras. Tom spent most of his working life in logistics industry. Tom was a long-time supporter and volunteer of Senior Golf Tournament and Grand Rapids Griffin’s Youth Foundation. He was an active member of First Reformed of Holland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Dykwell); children, John and Rose Mieras and Julie and Shawn Bogart; grandchildren, Alec John Mieras and Collin Jacob Mieras; his brother Bob Mieras.
Memorial services will be 3 pm Tuesday (October 2) at the First Reformed Church, 630 State Street, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Gillett, Rev. Dick Doeden, and John Mieras officiating.
Visitation will be 7-9 pm Monday (October 1) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.
Memorials contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to GR Youth Foundation or Cheever Treatment Center in Allegan, MI.
