Tamela Savage (March 29th, 1961-August 7th, 2024)

It is with great sorrow we share that Tamela, better known as Tammi, has passed away peacefully at home. Tammi was born in Holland, Michigan. She graduated with honors from Northwood University, while there she was a founding mother of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Tammi was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She was the life of the party, and the spark that ignited the fun in everything. She always knew how to keep the fun rolling and the smiles wide. Her sense of humor and ability to make others laugh will make family gatherings unforgettable. Her fun spirit is sure to remain with us all forever.

She leaves behind a family who loved and adored her, and countless friends who will miss her dearly. Tammi's legacy of joy and laughter will live on in all of us by the stories we share and the memories we have made.

Tammi is survived by her mother Mary Lou Nienhuis, sister Ronda and Joe Knapp, nieces and nephew; Nick and Brittany Knapp (Foster and Quinn), Kristin and Nathan Hunderman (Braxton, Bennett, and Elly), Brittany and Michael VandenBrink (Nixon, and Kennedy). And several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Nienhuis, and her best buddy, her dog, Chenney.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 13th from 6-8pm at Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel at 188 32nd St. in Holland.

Per Tammi's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doors of Hope/City on a Hill, and the Harbor Humane Society.
