Susie Castillo

Maria “Susie” Castillo, age 65, of Holland died unexpectedly Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Maria De Jesus Castillo a.k.a. Susie was born in Plainview, Texas. She moved to Michigan at a very young age where she raised her family and lived out the remainder of her days. She was a beautiful woman with an amazing spirit and personality that touched everyone she met.

She was a strong loving woman whose values and traditions will live on with us through her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her love and kindness. She would always put others needs before her own. She will be missed greatly but will live in our hearts and memories forever. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Noe Garza, Manuela Mirelez and Lydia Betancourt.

She is survived by her children: David Castillo (Gina Salas) of Wyoming, MI, Diane and Jose Torres of Holland, Dean and Senaida Conde of Mission, TX; 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Lupe Vallencia, Hilda and Reuben Rendon, Pete and Mary Garza, Lee and Angie Garza, Ray and Lupe Garza, Delia and Mark Taylor, Freddy and Viola Garza; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins

A funeral service will be 12:00 pm, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Reverend Joel Herrera will be officiating. Burial will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service.
