Suanne Elgersma was born on November 14, 1961, in Holland, Michigan. She was born with a disability that limited her daily life.

She grew up in Michigan and in New Mexico. While living in New Mexico, she graduated from Tobosa High School in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1983. Our aunt was an avid horse lover and once had a few horses alongside a huge collection of horse belongings. She loved when people would read her stories. A few of her favorite stories included Black Beauty, the story of Elijah ascending to heaven in a Fiery Chariot of horses, and she loved her Archie comic books.

She loved her family very much.

On Wednesday, January 8th, God sent our aunt her very own Fiery Chariot of horses to transport her to her heavenly home. She was welcomed into heaven, where she was freed from all her earthly limitations. Reunited with her sister, whom she loved dearly. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Proceeding her in death is her older brother Scottie Elgersma, her older sister Peggy Vasquez (Elgersma), and her mother, Nancy Hansen. Her grandparents Carol "Doc" and Ruth Hansen, her grandparents John and Margaret Elgersma, and her cousin Tonia VanHarn.

She is survived by her younger brother Andy Elgersma, her father Alan, and her stepmother Marcia Elgersma.
