Bob was born October 16, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Esther and W. Curtis Snow; he died October 4, 2017 at the Inn of Freedom Village. The Snow family moved to Holland in 1929, when Curtis and later Esther joined the Music faculty of Hope College. Bob graduated from Hope in 1949 after serving as a combat engineer in World War II. Bob met Rita Pool, and they married in 1952 in Harding, Illinois. His career was in the Pulp and Paper Industry which took the family to Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Ohio. Their four children are Don Snow (Wei Hong) of Kunshan, China; Scott Rice-Snow (Jennifer) of Muncie, Indiana; Laurie LeSuer (Bob) of Erie, Pennsylvania; and David Snow of Lakewood, Colorado. They have six grandchildren: Chris, Jamie (Anna), and Michael LeSuer, Wesley Rice-Snow, and Addison and Griffin Snow. Bob is survived by his wife, Rita, his brother Curtis Murray of Pasadena, Maryland, his brother-in-law John Bloemendaal of Holland, Michigan, and nine nieces and nephews. Bob was pre-deceased by his parents and his twin sisters Jean Bloemendaal and Janet Pontier.

The family will gather in Holland for Bob's memorial service on Wednesday, November 22, at 1 pm, in the Freedom Village auditorium, 145 Columbia Drive in Holland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Esther M. Snow Vienna Scholarship Fund at Hope College (hope.edu/academics/music/special-programs-opportunities/scholarships/html) or to the Living Hope Fund of Hope Church (hopechurchrca.org). Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Downtown Chapel (www.dykstrafuneralhome.com).
