Sheryl Mallehan

Sheryl R. Mallehan age 56 of Holland died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her home following an extended illness.

Born in Cleveland, OH., Sheryl graduated from Sioux Center, Iowa in 1978. Following graduating she moved with her family to the Holland area and attended Hope College where she met David Mallehan and married in 1981.

For over 30 years she was employed by Meijer’s in Holland and was an active member of Christ Memorial Church where she helped with the Soup Suppers and Children’s Education.

Sheryl was a master gardener and leaves her garden as a loving memorial to her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David and children; Leah (Nate) Makepeace of Holland, Laura Mallehan of Hamilton, Ryan (Stephanie) Mallehan of Grand Rapids, grandchildren; Mason, Blake, Noah, Stella, Parents; Wesley and Nel Kiel of Holland, Bro/Sis; Susan Weikert of Jacksonville, IL., Steve (Sheryl) Kiel of Colorado Springs, CO., Scott (Cathy) Kiel of Bloomington, IL., Bro/Sis/Law; Cindy (Bob) Gossett of Cape Coral, FL., Rob (Diane) Mallehan of Grand Rapids.

A memorial service will be held Monday 11:00 AM at Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Rd. with Rev. Bill Boersma officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 5-7 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home, 188 West 32nd St.

Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Holland.
