Life Story / Obituary

Print

Sharon Kay (Koop) Boeve, 80, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Sharon was devoted for 61 years to the love of her life, Irvin Boeve. Together they showed what true love is supposed to look like as they raised their three children and enjoyed their grandchildren. Sharon seemed to know everyone in Holland. She was outgoing and social. She very much treasured her family and her friends. She especially cherished time spent shopping and eating lunch out with her daughter Kathy. She loved fashion so she was in her true element when she worked at Studio K in downtown Holland. She was a member of Calvary Church where she and Irv volunteered for 14 years.

Sharon is survived by her husband Irvin, her children Kathy (Doug) Lenters and Scott (Jo Ann) Boeve, her grandchildren Jordan (Cameron) Boeve, Spencer Boeve and Ally Boeve, her brother Dale (Pat) Koop, her aunt Connie VandenBrand and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Curtis Boeve, her grandchildren Zachary and Emma Boeve, her brother Norm Koop and her parents Henry and Catherine Koop.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday (February 16) at Calvary Church, 400 Beeline Road. Burial will be in North Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday (February 15) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
