Santana Guebara

Santana R. Guebara, age 78, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

He was born in Austin, Texas on June, 26, 1945 to Socorro and Anastasia Guebara. Santana was the middle child of the family. He worked at General Electric for 26 years followed by retirement. He attained his General Equivalency Diploma and then attained his Diesel Mechanic License. He was a hard worker and truly enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. Mr. Guebara was also a long time faithful of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Holland. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. In his spare time you could catch him watching wrestling and the Texas Long Horns.

Santana is survived by his children, Steve, Sandra Woods, Sam and Sara; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; longtime special family friend, Nelson (Patricia) Green and their three children, Nicole, Ron and Christopher; Santana's best friend, Tom Elbin; close family friends, Jose (Leti) Velazquez; siblings, Socorro Guebara Sr., Manuela Guebara Garza, Inocensia Guebara Herrera, Dolores Guebara, Mary Guebara Torrez, Cruz Guebara Sr.; brothers and sisters in-law, Guadalupe Guzman, Manuel (Mary) Garza.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beatriz; daughter, Sylvia.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 1, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 2, at 10:00am, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 171 West 13th Street, Holland. Father Luis Garcia presiding. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Holland.
