Sandy (Boersema, Elhart) Lawless 58, passed away peacefully in her home, October 11, 2022, after a prolonged fight against breast cancer.

Sandy was born May 22, 1964 to Ronald Boersema Sr. and Donna (Zwagerman) in Holland MI. She was preceded in death by her former husband Dave Elhart. She is survived by her husband Mark, children Matt (Katie) Elhart, Ethan (Jamie) Elhart, Katie (Nate) Dykema, Megan (Mike) Lawrence, Sarah (Nat) Emmett and Danny Lawless; brothers, Ron (Karen) Boersema Jr., and Ross (Ursula) Boersema; grandchildren, Austin, Brooklyn, Olivia, Rosemary, Abe, Simon, Murphy and Kieran.

If you knew Sandy, you also knew how much she loved her grandkids. Known to them as "Ama," she took time to play, read, dress up, do makeup, make treats with them and attended as many of their events as possible. She was an excellent cook and home decorator and hosted many gatherings with delicious meals and desserts. Sandy loved to sit by the fire in the winter and in the 3 season porch in the summer having long talks with her hubby. She spent her life in the Holland area, graduated from Holland Christian High School, was a decades long member of Moms in Touch - Moms in Prayer and worked for First American Title for 20 years.

Sandy loved Jesus and his spirit extended out to everyone she met. She had deep, personal relationships with so many, family, friends and coworkers and was loved equally in return. She will be sorely missed by so many here on this earth but we are all grateful that she is finally free in her heavenly home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Central Wesleyan Church, 446 West 40th Street in Holland, please use entrance A. Pastors Mike McKay and Ron Boersema will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
