Sandra Stepka

Holland resident, Sandra Kay Kolenbrander, passed peacefully in her sleep at her residence on November, 4th, 2021.

Sandra was born on February 2nd, 1943 in Holland, MI. to her parents John and Eva (Miedema) Kolenbrander. Sandra graduated from Holland High School and continued on to cosmetology school. Sandra worked as a bus driver for the West Ottawa School District for over twenty years and made many long-lasting friendships.

Sandra enjoyed drives to the beach to watch the boats and the amazing sunsets, playing dominoes and cards with friends, knitting, her bible study group and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her brother, David Kolenbrander; children Patricia Stepka, Brian (Sara) Stepka and step children Betty Lou (Mark) Crouch and Allen (Patricia) Stepka and her grandchildren Taylor, Carlinda, Sophia and Bobby.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband Donald Stepka and a sister, Mary Lou Altena.

A memorial visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday (November 14) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice of Holland.
