Ruth E. Van Wyk age 79 of Holland died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Holland Hospital from injuries sustained from a fall.

Born in Holland, Ruth graduated from Holland High School class of 1955.

Ruth was a longtime member of First Reformed Church as well as a member of First United Methodist Church in Clermont, Fl. where she spent many winters with her husband Jim.

An avid sports enthusiast, Ruth once received the “Green Jacket” from the King’s Ridge Golf Course in Clermont.

Ruth was a big Spartan fan, but her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jim and children; Terrie and Ronald Deenik of Holland, Debbie and Vaughn Buchholz of Grand Ledge, MI., grandchildren; Tracy (Brian) Summers, Michelle Buchholz, Christopher Boeve, Lindsey (John) Zona, great grandchildren; Peyton and Regan as well as a sister Joyce Zylstra of Eastmanville, sisters-in-law, Betty Van Liere of Montrose, CO., Vivian Van Liere of New Port Richey, FL, Brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger (Betty) Van Wyk of Holland and Paul( Bonnie) Van Wyk of Zeeland.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00AM at First Reformed Church, 630 State St. with Dr. Dan Gillett officiating. Friends may call on the family Sunday 2-5 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St.

Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Holland.
