Rudell Kleinheksel, age 97, entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on April 4.

Rudy was born on April 2, 1928 to Gerald and Ruth Kleinheksel. Rudy was a chicken farmer for many years and then worked for Semco energy for 20 years. He was a member of Central Wesleyan church.

He was a gentle, kind man who loved his family, was a friend to all he met and always willing to give a helping hand to anyone. He loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Hennie, son -in- law, Rick Kraker, brother, Norman Kleinheksel, sister Marilyn (Don) Brower, in-laws Ray and Gert Mokma, Ivan and Reka DeJonge, Russ and Dorothy Borgman.

Rudy is survived by his son, Larry (Lin) Kleinheksel, daughters Judy (Ron) Frego, Carla (Ed) Kraker/Bricker, 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren . Also survived by in laws, Norma Kleinheksel and Jim and Mary Rozeboom.

A celebration of Rudy’s life will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Central Wesleyan Church Chapel, 446 West 40th Street in Holland, please use entrance G. Rev. Lynn Bruce will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 4:45 pm prior to the service at the Central Wesleyan Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Upward Bound or Emmanuel Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Resthaven Maplewoods for the care and love they showed Rudy. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes - Mulder Chapel.
