Ronald J. Evink

Ronald J. Evink (1942 – 2026) died on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He and his wife, Joyce, were married in July, 1966. They had the privilege of being parents to sons, Scott and Steven.

Ron was a man who deeply loved his family, quietly lived his faith, was a hard-working provider, had a servant’s heart, preferred to always put others before himself, proudly served his country in the Navy, enjoyed cooking, fishing, attending his grand children’s school events, especially music, and puttering in his garden and yard.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Scott, parents Gerrit and Bernice Evink, siblings, Gary Evink, Janice Evink and Wayne Evink, parents-in-law Harold and Garnett Cox and brother-in-law Joe Cox.

Ron is survived by his wife, Joyce; son and wife, Steven and Mary Jane Evink; grandchildren Miles and Johanna Evink; sister Patricia Thompson; sisters-in-law Linda Nuismer (Rex Behrends); Donna Evink; Arlene Evink; Belinda Cox; brother-in-law and wife Randy (Carol) Cox; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

The family will honor Ron’s wish to “take me out and bury me and put a flower on my grave.”
