Ronald W. Flynn, age 82, passed away on February 22, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Patricia Flynn, of Holland; son, Andrew (Marcia) Flynn and grandchildren, Maya and Charles, of Chandler, AZ. Ron was born in Winnetka, IL, and resided in Evanston, IL, Bangor, South Haven and Holland. He was a graduate of Michigan State’s horticulture program and at one time had a landscaping business on the North Shore of Chicago. After moving to a small farm between Bangor and South Haven, he cultivated dwarf fruit trees and Christmas trees, and experimented in renewable energy and computers well before they were popular. In addition, he became an amateur radio operator, and publisher of SSTV Today, a magazine for ham radio enthusiasts. In retirement, he became a nationally known expert on John James Audubon prints, and his price guides are still in publication. He also was interested in genealogy and wrote several books for family members. As per his wishes, there will be no services.

For those who wish, donations may be made to Hospice of Holland, for which the family is grateful.
