Ronald G. Essenburg, age 72, of Holland died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his home.

Ron was owner of Velvet-Soft Inc. a water softening company. He attended Moran Park Church and was a veteran of the National Guard. Ron loved baking, wood working and was a judge for many barbeque events. He was active with the Holland Al-anon groups and sponsored many people, young and old, to guide and help them through life.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Emma Grace Timmer in 2007 and a brother Steven Essenburg 2020.

He is survived by his wife Judy and children: Tracy (Kraig) Timmer of Sturgis, MI, Chad (Casie) Essenburg of Holland and Ryan Essenburg of Holland; grandchildren: Jeffrey Essenburg, Riley Essenburg, Ashlyn Westhouse, Paige Essenburg and Reid Timmer; brother: Erwin (Dawn) Essenburg; sister: Chris (Tom) Hulst; brother and sister-in-laws: Anita Essenburg, Bob (Char) Sprick, Ruth (Lynn) Sparks, Virg (Bob) Condit, Jim (Dee) Sprick and Joyce Birkholz; many nieces and nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Rev. Dave Roberts will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Please feel welcome to visit the family from 11:00 am -12:45 pm just prior to the service at the Mulder Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Holland Alano Association non-profit organization (Al-anon Groups), 201 39th Street, Holland, MI 49423.
