Robert Williams

Robert (Bob) Cody Williams passed away at home on July 11. He was born March 2, 1922 in White Plains, NY. He entered US Army Air Force in January, 1942 enrolling in Radio and Radar Schools.

He was assigned as a Radar Technician in the 2nd Combat Wing, 389th Bomb Group, 565th Squadron in Norwich, England, where he remained for the duration of the war.

Robert worked for the New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1976 after 30 years, and from Zeus Components in 1987.

Bob was a member of the White Plains Masonic Lodge No. 473.F. & A.M.

He was a member of Clarkstown Reformed Church in West Nyack, New York, Tappan Reformed Church in Tappan, New Jersey, and Calvary Reformed Church in Holland, serving on consistory over the years.

He served as a Volunteer at Evergreen Commons, Holland Hospital and the Holland Area Arts Council

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Bradford Cody Williams in 1993.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Packard Williams, daughter Lorma Williams Freestone, son-in-law Kenneth Dale Freestone, grandchildren; Aubrey (Freestone) Garcia and her husband, Manny Garcia; Cody Scott Freestone and his wife, Amber Emery; and nephews Robert and Wayne Schrader.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 17th, 2PM at Calvary Reformed Church, 995 East 8th Street, Holland with Judyth Thomas officiating. Memorial gifts may be given to the Holland Area Arts Council.
