Robert "Bob" Rose, age 81, of Holland, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Bob was born in Holland, Michigan on September 5, 1941 to Robert and Marian Rose. He attended Holland Public Schools his entire life and graduated with the class of 1960. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and faithfully served his country. Bob was a lifelong tool & die journeyman. He retired from Hart & Cooley in 2003. He had a heart of gold, always treating people as family. Bob had an easy smile and loved to laugh and play jokes on people. He was a long time member of Fennville Baptist Church and Sonrise Baptist Church in Florida where he spent his winters. He loved walking the boardwalk and beach in Englewood, Florida. Everyone knew that Bob was an avid University of Michigan fan. He was loved by everyone that knew him and he will truly be missed.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marian Rose; brother in-law, Gary Kempker and a Niece, Gena Kempker Sluis.

He is survived by his wife Linda McNeely Rose of 30 years; daughter, Deborah Rose of Holland; son, Craig (Lori) Rose of Holland; grandchildren, Jeremy Owen, Shaun Owen, Shawna (Andrew) Ulberg, Valerie (Nick) Driesenga and Kaylee Rose; great grandchildren, Seija Lara, Shelby Owen, Dominic Owen, Addison, Austin, Audrey and Archer Ulberg, Henry, Scout, Ellis and Bodhi Driesenga; step daughter, Laurie (Leon) Jordan of Zeeland and step son, John (Cheryl) Woldring of Alabama; siblings, Cal (Shelly) Rose of Florida and Helen (Tom) Miller of Kalamazoo.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 5, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral ceremony will be held following visitation at noon. The United States Army Honor Guard and V.F.W. Post 2144 will bestow military honors. Pastor Frank Senters will preside over the funeral ceremony.
