Robert Ooms

Robert Ooms, age 79, of Holland, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Robert was born in Holland and was a lifelong resident. He retired from the Herrick District Library after 20+ years of employment. Robert also served in the United States Army.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon in 2014; surviving are his children, Kevin and Sharon Kay Ooms, Kristine Ooms and Dale Carpenter, and Kari and Al Castaneda; grandson, Nicholas Dale Ooms; granddaughters, Katelyn and Elizabeth Behre; grandsons, Daniel and Caleb Guerra and Aaron Walker; and five great-grandchildren; brother, Edward and Harriet Ooms; in-laws, Sandra Hamberg and Frank and David Boersema; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm, Monday (February 19) in the Chapel at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Douglas Wright officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
