Robert Kraker, age 81, of Holland, passed away, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Resthaven Care Center. Robert was born in Holland, MI. He had worked at Chris-Craft, owned and operated Atlas Tree Service, built homes for Art Dykhuis Contracting, and retired from Worden Manufacturing. Robert was a member of the Overisel Christian Reformed Church. For over 40 years he sang in the group, The Kingsman Quartet. Robert was preceded in death his wife Betty in 2007 and a son, Terry Kraker in 1949. Surviving are his children, Barb and Bob Tucker, Rick and Carla Kraker, Randy and Marla Kraker, Mike and Barb Kraker all of Holland, Jim and Corla Kraker and Lori and Jim Vande Guchte both of Hamilton; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; brother, Albert and Sue Kraker of Allendale; in-laws, Mary Ann Kraker of Holland, Jarvis Dozeman of Holland, Chester and Gerry Groetenhuis of Holland, Sue Ten Cate of Holland, and Thelma and John Yonkman; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday at the Overisel Christian Reformed Church, 4724 142nd Ave., with the Rev. Steve Mulder officiating. Burial will be in the Overisel Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 pm Thursday at the Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street. Memorials may be made to the Overisel Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
