Robert "Bob" Bishop died on June 17, 2024. He was born September 21, 1935 in Logansport, Indiana to Merle and Anna Long Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Lou of 68 years and his sisters Beatrice Zellers and Beulah Schwering.

In 1956, he married Louise "Lou" (Bauer). Bob and Lou had three children: Marc (Rose Bryan), Kimberly (Ryan Barveld) and Lee (Karen Bishop); grandchildren Robert H. (Karrie) Bishop and Ashley (Mike) Bundy and great-grandchildren Logan Bishop, Madelyn Bishop and Rylee Bundy.

After graduating in 1953 from Logansport High School, Bob attended Purdue University. He graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He later received a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

His entire business career spanning over 62 years, concentrated in finance. First as a banker, and later as a financial advisor. Bob and Lou were founding members of Our Lady of the Lake Church. They were avid sports fans. They held season tickets to Hope College basketball for 35 years and were supporters of all Hope College and Purdue Boilermakers athletics. Bob and Lou travelled extensively and loved to entertain. Their greatest joy was to spend time with family at the cottage and on trips. He loved people and always enjoyed time with friends. He was a loving dad, grandpa and great-grandpa and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As his wish, a private memorial mass will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Our Lady of the Lake Church in Holland, Michigan or to a medical foundation of ones choice.
