Richard Brownell

Richard Brownell, 83, of Holland, Michigan, passed away on January 3, 2026.Born February 4, 1942, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Richard was a proud United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his children, Steven Brownell and Jean Brownell; grandchildren, Steve Hollman, Avi Brownell, and Sierra Taylor-Cline; and great-grandchildren, Hudson Hollman and Harper Hollman. Richard loved people and was known for his ability to make others smile. He enjoyed sports, dancing, and loved cats.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Youth Ministries, 407 Central Ave., Holland, MI 49423, officiated by Pastor Steve Turrell. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Hastings, Michigan, next to his beloved mother, Martha Brownell.
