Ricardo Silva

Ricardo Silva, age 59, of Holland, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Rick was born to Gonzalo and Guadalupe Silva on July 28, 1962 in Holland, Michigan. He was a lifelong Holland resident and attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Rick had a love of sports and the outdoors. He loved playing golf, softball, fishing and hunting. He was an avid fan of Ohio State University football, Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Mr. Silva was a loving, caring and devoted father, grandfather and husband. Family vacations and trips were a given every year with Mr. Silva. He loved to travel. Rick was also devoted to his friends. He kept his circle small but if you were a friend, he would do anything for you. He was a simple man of few things but he was known to keep his lawn and Chevy trucks in pristine condition. Rick was also known to be a practical joker with an excellent sense of humor. He was loved by all who knew him and he will truly be missed.

Mr. Silva is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mrs. Sandra Silva; sons, James (Mallory) Silva, Rodney (Kailey) Silva; grandchildren, Mason, Walker and Khloe; brother, Charley; father and mother in-law, Jerry and Delores Kraai; sister and brother in-law, Stacey and Hector Vigil.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday June 16, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland. Wake Prayers will be held at 6:30pm. Visitation will also be held on Friday, June 17, from 12:00pm to 1:45pm at the Northwood Chapel. A funeral ceremony will be held following visitation at 1:45pm with Father Charles Brown presiding. A graveside ceremony and interment will be held in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland.
