August 17, 1960 – June 14, 2025
Renee' Bukaweski, 64, of Holland, MI, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 17, 1960, in Saginaw, MI, Renee' brought warmth, laughter, and a touch of mischief wherever she went. Renee spent many years as a dedicated travel agent, building relationships and helping others explore the world-while always appreciating the peaceful beauty of nature close to home. She especially loved the beach and dunes at Lake Michigan, where she found joy and calm in the sound of the waves and the feeling of sand beneath her feet. Whether enjoying the stillness of the outdoors or the joy of time with her family, Renee appreciated the calm and grace of life's little moments.
She was wonderfully quirky and full of personality-always ready with a joke or a prank to keep everyone on their toes. Renee had a unique sense of humor and could make people laugh without any effort. She had a knack for brightening everyday moments and made those around her feel at ease and uplifted. Renee met life's challenges with courage and a steadfast spirit, inspiring those around her by how she kept moving forward with hope and strength.
Renee's faith was at the heart of who she was. Her spiritual journey shaped the way she loved people-with kindness, strength, and grace. In her final days, her faith gave her peace-and gave all of us comfort-holding onto the hope of what lies beyond this life.
Renee also dearly loved being a grandma, sister, and an aunt. She cherished her siblings and adored her grandkids, nieces and nephews, bringing joy, playfulness, and support into their lives. They always knew Renee cared deeply and made an effort to stay connected and involved in their lives.
She is survived by her children, Michelle League (Ryan), Jared Bukaweski, and Lauren Bukaweski (Patrick); her beloved grandchildren, Willa, Winslow, and Wells League; and her sisters, Denise Todd (Steve), Judy Rood (Stewart), and Amy Sova (Brian).
