Life Story / Obituary

Raymundo Chiquito Jr. transitioned from this life to his next on the evening of June 8th, 2022.

He was born in Donna, TX on April 26, 1959 to Raymundo Chiquito Sr., and Gregoria (Mireles) Chiquito, a true Texan at heart.

A father, grandfather, brother and son, he is survived by his daughters; Yvette, Angelica, Priscilla, Aracelli and former spouse Adelfa Chiquito. Granddaughters, Deziray, Natalia, & Aria Martinez. Brothers and sisters; Eva, Luis, Jaime, Dezi, Vicki, Tony, Juan and his beloved Mother Gregoria Chiquito. He has joined his father Raymundo Chiquito & sister Lilia Chiquito on his journey beyond this earthly plane.

Ramon was a man of intense spirit & faith, a simple man whose life’s greatest joys were his family, friends & the Dallas Cowboys. Although he was never a man of disciplined religious faith, he remained a man with strong spiritual guidance throughout his life. A dreamer and music enthusiast, whose taste spanned from Tejano to oldies to classic rock music. Once an avid drummer himself in his younger years, music was always a simple joy he loved to share with and among those he loved and cherished. Cooking, the outdoors, and riding his bike, were just some of his life’s simple pleasures.

A man who truly turned his life around to once again be a family man, righting his wrongs, showing up for his family and caring for his young growing granddaughters. These are the genuine and unforgettable characteristics of a man who rediscovered himself, forgave himself, and also dedicated his life to help his aging mother in times of need, even in times of his own health decline. A deed that will never go unnoticed, and truly how his spirit will always shine through and be remembered.

His dedication to continuing to better his life/health is what kept him fighting until the very end; a true visionary, a son, brother, father, grandfather and friend who fought until the very end with nothing but pure love and strength as his guidance. His spirit will forever live on in all that we do.

Please join our family as we lay our father to rest.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 17, 2022 at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland, MI 49423. Reverend Aron Garcia will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
