Paul Macio

Paul Macio, age 86, of Holland, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. Paul was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and graduated from Wilkes College. In 1958, Paul and his wife Jane moved to New Jersey to pursue his career in education. While in New Jersey, Paul was a teacher, coach, and athletic director at Hawthorne High School in New Jersey for 32 years. He also served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Jane in 1995. Surviving are his children, Paulette and Howard Post and Wayne and Denise Macio; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A private family service will be held. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hawthorne High School Booster Club; 160 Parmelee Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506. Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
