He had a big heart for family and friends. He enjoyed volunteering at church to help his brother, Jeremias, making people laugh, going on walks and watching America’s team the Dallas Cowboys with his family, and finding ways to make an extra dollar.

He is survived by his father and mother, Ramon and Angelica Gaytan; brothers and sister: Raymon Martin Gaytan, Elias and Anita Gaytan, Jeremias and Maribel Gaytan of Fennville, Ramon Gaytan, and Priscilla Gaytan, TX; many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Obed will be missed for his gentle and kind spirit and his contagious laughter.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 22, from 10:00, am to 12:00 pm, at Pan de Vida (Bread of Life) church IDDPRMO, 2281 N. 57th Street, Fennville. A funeral ceremony will take place at 12:00 pm following visitation at the church. After the funeral service, a funeral procession to honor Obed’s legacy will make its way from Pan de Vida to Pilgrim Home Cemetery for a graveside service and interment.

Facial coverings are required for entry into the church and social distancing is encouraged.
