Nina Denton

Harlene “Nina” Denton, age 38, of Holland, passed away on Friday July 23, 2010 in Jamestown, NY.

Nina was born in Victoria, TX and was a resident of Holland for many years. She loved to travel and live life to the fullest. She was always willing to help anyone she came in contact with. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her friends and family. Nina was also a wonderful mom, wife, daughter and sister. She had an infectious SMILE that will never be duplicated and forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Francisca Ramirez and Viola Parrish; and also her best friend Jean Wilson.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Denton of Holland; her daughter Brittany Rash of Holland ; her son, Joey Vernon of Holland ; her parents, Delia Abilia of Holland, Harley Parrish of Grandville, Jesse Rodriguez of Holland. Her siblings Chris Parrish of Holland, Jesse Rodriguez of Holland, Ricky Rodriguez of Holland, Nicki Parrish of Grandville, Matt Parrish of Grandville and many other friends and family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday July 29, 2010 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, corner of 13th and Maple with Father Charles Brown officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd Street and on Thursday from 10am to 11am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Burial will take place in Graafschap Cemetery immediately following services. Reception luncheon will be held at 1:30pm at the Doubletree Hotel, 650 E 24th St.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
