Milton "Mick" Doan

Milton L. “Mick” Doan, age 76, of Holland died after a long battle with heart disease Monday August 11, 2008 at Hospice House of Holland.

He was born and raised in Adrian, MI. He Graduated from Adrian High School in 1952. He married Lois Peavey on August 10, 1957. He was a draftsman for many years, and retired from Brazeway Aluminum in 1991. In 1996 he moved to Holland, MI. to be closer to family. Mick was also an avid Billiards Player.

Milton was preceded in death by grandchildren, Maggie, Dane, and Cara Scheuerman; brothers: Charles, Harold, Kenneth, and Russell; sisters: Helen Stillwagon, Ruth Mellinger, Marie Dunbar, and Mae Siebenaler.

His family includes: wife of 51 years Lois Doan, daughter Cheryl and Dan Scheuerman of Zeeland, son Corey Doan of Holland, four grandchildren Courtney, Drew, Cristina, Taylor Scheuerman; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting will be from 7-9 Thursday August 14th at The Northwood Chapel Dykstra Life Story Funeral Home 295 Douglas Ave.

Visiting will also be 6-8 Friday August 15th at The Anderson Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.

Family burial services will be in Palmyra Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Holland and Peace Lutheran Church of Holland.
