Max Willmore, age 81, of Howell passed away from natural causes on May 18, 2021.

Max spent much of his life in sales and management of propane suppliers throughout the midwest. Then in retirement had several jobs working in hardware and Tractor Supply stores. Max was a hardworking friendly person who enjoyed many friendships. His wife, Gladys, will miss him dearly. His children and grandchildren will remember the good times. In his younger days he spent many years as a volunteer fireman in Bruning and Scottsbluff Nebraska. In his later years he was very involved in his church, Grace Lutheran of Howell MI, and his neighborhood, Earl Lake. Amongst friends you could always count on him to do more than his share.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dean Keith; and parents, Max, and Irene (Schelbitzki) Willmore.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Harms) Willmore of Howell, MI; daughter, Deanna (John) Hafner of Onalaska, WI; son, David (Kathy) Willmore of Holland, MI; daughter, Denise Willmore of Haslett, MI; grandchildren, Kendell Grace and Joshua Ryan; sisters: Naomi (Doug) Grupe of Deshler, Nebraska and Nancy (Dan) Bergmeyer of Lincoln, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
