Mary Lou Gonzales

Mary Lou Gonzales, age 72 of Holland, peacefully passed away August 18, 2020 at her home in Holland with family by her side.

Mary Lou was born in Kalamazoo, MI to Louis and Anita Hernandez. The family soon moved to Holland where Mary Lou grew up. She went to Holland High School and then worked at Heinz, Baker Furniture, Bohn Aluminum and ended her career as an at home care taker. She loved dancing to Tejano music, thrifting, garage sales, and visits to Texas. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, often hosting everyone at her home. She was the glue to her family and will be deeply missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hernandez and Anita Sanchez, daughter; Anita Rodriguez; sister, Janie Larue; and grandson, Tristan Gonzales.

Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Angie Gonzales, Adell Gonzales, Angel (Javier) Guerrero; grandchildren, Sellica (Mike) Morin, Derrick (Jolita) Rodriguez, Ivelis Rodriquez, Ty Gonzales, Raven Lopez, Thad Gonzales, Camrin Anchondo, Kailie Lopez, Aliani Lopez; 9 great-grandchildren, great-great granddaughter, Athena; and sister, Diana Gutierrez.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00pm with a 1-hour visitation prior to the service at Cornerstone Tabernacle (781 Lincoln Ave, Holland).

The church will be following the CDC guidelines, so please bring a mask for service.
