Mary Leal Hinojosa, age 67, of Holland, passed away Thursday June 3, 2021.

Mary was born to Maximino and Maria Vallejo on May 2, 1954 in Monterrey, Mexico. She was a woman of fortitude and also compassion. Mary dedicated her entire life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was always placing other people before herself. Her love of Christ was always on display through her acts of service. She was not only a caretaker professionally she was also the caretaker and protector of her family. Mary was a long time member of St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church in Holland. Her easy smile and great sense of humor made her many friends throughout her life, both professional and personal. Anyone who knew Mary also knew how fashionable she was. They also knew that she loved to shop. Mary and her spouse Jaime did quite a bit of traveling together. Las Vegas and Atlantic City were some of their memorable destinations. The family will also remember Mary in the kitchen making her famous enchiladas mexicanas.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Maria E Silva de Vallejo and Maximino Vallejo Leal; daughter, Jamie M. Hinojosa; brother, Mario Maximino Vallejo Silva. She is survived by her children, Maryann Hinojosa, Cindy N. Hinojosa, Ke and Angela M. Phonhthalyhane; grandchildren, Jaime Hinojosa, Cindy M. Garcia, Gabriel De La Rosa, Yazmin N. Garcia, Rene A. Garcia Jr., Jamie Phonhthalyhane, Vivienne Phonhthalyhane; three great-grandchildren, Siblings; Jose (Maria) Vallejo, Claudio Alfonso Vallejo, Maria de Jesus Vallejo Silva, Concepcion (Javier) De La O, Juana Vallejo Silva, Manuela Vallejo, Agustin (Celia) Vallejo and Elva (Gerardo) Mata.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday June 5, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at the Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland. A funeral procession to honor Mary's life and legacy will make its way from the Northwood Chapel to Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 994 Paw Paw Dr., in Holland, for a 12:30pm entombment ceremony. Father Michael Danner will preside over the service.
