Marsha Spykerman, age 66, of Zeeland, Michigan, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, August 30, 2024.

She expressed her passion for creativity through baking, card-design, scrapbooking, music and gardening. She was an encourager, always ready to send cards and thoughtfully reach out to those around her. She had a warm presence with a heart to serve others.

Marsha persevered with joy despite poor health for much of her life. She was diagnosed with lupus when she was 16, and the doctors gave her only a year to live — but the Lord gave her 50 more! She lived to enjoy the love of her faithful husband, their two children, and three grandchildren.

Her fondest memories included spending time at Big Star Lake, road trips with Tim out West, and traveling with Jeremy and his family in Europe.

She was joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and constant in prayer (Romans 12:12).

Marsha is survived by her husband, Timothy; son Jeremy, daughter-in-law Veronika and grandchildren Felichia, Blake, and Caleb of Swindon, England; daughter Stacy of Grandville, Michigan; mother Geraldine of Holland, Michigan; and sisters Mary Benedict of Cadillac, Michigan, and Kathleen Heeres of Madison, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur, brother Bobby, and sister Ruthie Montgomery Moody.

A memorial will be held at Faith Reformed Church, 220 W Central Ave, Zeeland, MI 49464 on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 3 pm.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul,

and all that is within me,

bless his holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits,

who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

who satisfies you with good

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

(Psalm 103:1–5)
