Marilyn K. Kuipers, age 80, of Hudsonville, was called to a restful peace with her Lord on Saturday May 12, 2012.

Marilyn was born on February 5, 1932 in Grand Rapids, MI to Gilbert and Agnes (DeWitt) Drew. She graduated from Lee High School and retired from Herman Miller where she worked as a seamstress for several years.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald J. Israels and her husband, Bill Slagh, her sisters, Hazel Jenkins and Gloria O’Connell.

She is survived by her children, Sherry and David Fik of Hudsonville, Don and Suzanne Israels of Holland, and David and Julie Israels of Holland; her grandchildren, Joshua Fik and his fiancée, Kayla Borgman, Jonathon Fik, Bethany Fik, Ethan Israels and Owen Israels. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Boverhof and her brother, Gilbert Drew; and her niece, Gail Jordan-Kreger.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at Trinity Reformed Church, 712 Apple Avenue in Holland.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday May 16, 2012 at Trinity Reformed Church

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Harbor House Ministries, 919 44th Street, Jenison MI 49428.
