Life Story / Obituary
Lucille Van Den Berg, age 79, of Holland, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at Hospice House of Holland.
Lucille taught 2nd grade at Woodside Elementary School, in the West Ottawa School District, until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of Beechwood Church for many years.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Allen in 2005, daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Ron Rozema in 2012, and a grandson, Brian Rozema in 2010.
Surviving are her children; Doug Van Den Berg of Alexandria, VA and Scott and Sherri Van Den Berg of Holland; 5 grandchildren, Sara and Brandon Bos (Kensie), Chris Van Den Berg and Paulette Pewitt, Craig and Samantha Rozema (Jessica), Nikki and Bob Fisher (Mia and Ella), and Ben Van Den Berg; brothers, Ernie and Vonnie Dreyer of Holland, Chet and Mary Dreyer of Holland, Ron and Barb Dreyer of Holland, Jim and Ruth Dreyer of Holland; in-laws, Joyce and Wally Brown, Marge and Mel Kossen, Margaret Van Dyke, Stan and Karen Van Den Berg, and Doris and Chuck Biolette; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, with the Revs. Dawn Vagle and John Koedyker officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave.
