Lois A (Priemer) Rhees, 100, was called home March 11, 2021. Lois was born March 21st, 1920 in Harbor Beach, MI. On Jan. 2nd 1943, Lois married Richard F. Rhees in Detroit, MI. who preceded her in death in Oct. 1980.

Lois was raised on her Grandparents farm through the Great Depression era. This experience formed lifelong views on wastefulness and contentment that will continue to inspire her family. Lois moved from the farm following High School and began working as a switchboard operator in Detroit, MI where she also met Richard and they started their family together. In 1958 Lois and Richard moved their family of 5 to Kokomo, IN where Richard was employed at “The New Chrysler Transmission Plant”. After raising their family in Kokomo, Richard and Lois returned to MI where she would remain in the summers and spend her winters in St. Petersburg, Florida. Lois enjoyed warm weather, bird watching, reading, traveling, and visiting with friends and family.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Richard A. Rhees (Kokomo).

Lois is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Malcolm) Smith Douglas, MI; son, Ralph (Vickie) Rhees Kokomo; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Rhees, Kokomo; grandchildren, Ann (Jack) Vanderbie, Wellston, MI, Chris (Rosalie) Wentzell, Kihei HI, Matt Wentzell, Fennville, MI, Mark (Marsha) Rhees, West Lafayette, IN, Greg (Jennie) Rhees Kokomo, Lucas (Angie) Rhees Kokomo, Cindy (Peter) Gately, Jennifer (Jim) Bradley, Sarah Christenson, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
