Lloyd Lubbers, 87, of Overisel, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 30, 2022.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Lloyd was born in Overisel and married Helen Rozema on May 28, 1957. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and worked for Haworth, Inc. for 37 years. His greatest loves were his family and working on his farm. He was a lifelong member of Overisel Reformed Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Sadie (Hoekje) Lubbers; his wife, Helen; and his siblings and their spouses, Goldie (Ted) Sternberg and Harv (Harlene) Lubbers.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Shelly and Larry Woodall, Keith and Laurie Lubbers, and Sharon and Gary Schipper; five grandchildren, Lee and Mary Lubbers, Michelle and Jordan Nyhof, Ross Schipper, Nathan Schipper, and Trenton Schipper; three great-granddaughters; his brother, Stan (Barb) Lubbers, his sister-in-law Marilyn Rozema; nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Avenue, Holland, MI 49423. Reverend Ken Kleinheksel will be officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Overisel Reformed. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or the Overisel Reformed Church Building Fund. Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
