Linda Joyce Turrentine, 60, of Holland MI, passed away on October 19th, 2024 shortly after arriving into hospice care in South Holland.

Linda was born in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan on January 13th, 1964. She was the second child to parents Luther and Peggy Hardin. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Hope College, and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Michigan State University. Linda worked as a fourth and fifth grade special education teacher for most of her thirty three year career in education. She retired from the Lansing School District working as a teacher consultant. Linda was passionate about her students and especially her three children. She led an active life, enjoying time with friends and family, as well as outdoor activities including walking, running, and biking. She loved being in nature, especially anything near or on the water. Linda was a talented vocalist, who loved to sing in choirs, in the car, and at home. She was an active church member at River Terrace Church in East Lansing, and Pillar Church in Holland during her retirement years.

Linda is survived by her husband, Otty Turrentine of Holland, and her three children Joseph, Jacob, and Katie, residing in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Los Angeles respectively. She is preceded in death by her father Luther, mother Peggy, and brother Kendall.

Visitation will be held at Pillar Church in Holland on Thursday, October 24th at 10am followed by a service and luncheon beginning at 11am. Memorial donations may be made to World Renew.
