In Loving Memory of Linda Osstifin
1949 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Linda Osstifin, who passed away at home in Holland, Michigan on August 14, 2025, at the age of 75.
Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Czerniejewski and Jason Osstifin, and daughter-in-law Cammie Gaubatz-Osstifin. She is also survived by her sister Cyndi Harrell, nephews Jacob and Blake Perry, and niece Cara Miller, who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul “Ozzie” Osstifin, her son-in-law, Nathan Czerniejewski as well her brothers James and Jeffery Perry and her parents Shirley and Melvin Perry.
Linda’s greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Arielle (22), Kaden (20), and Wynter (18). They were the light of her life and brought her endless happiness. She was always there to support their passions and find a way to spoil them!
Linda had a zest for life and found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends—especially at her Lake Columbia home in Brooklyn, Michigan, where she created treasured friendships, celebrated holidays, and made countless cherished memories. She loved to entertain and delighted in baking and cooking for those she loved. Her crab cakes were a holiday tradition, and her from-scratch German chocolate cake became a friend and family favorite and was often requested ! Possibly her most famous creation however was her Easter Bunny cake known far and wide !
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. Instead, her life will be honored at a celebration of life gathering, with details to be shared by Jason and Jennifer at a later time.
Linda was a generous soul who will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, strength, sense of humor, exceptional baking, and the boundless love she gave so freely to everyone around her.
