Leonard Walter Victor Senior entered eternal rest May 22, 2025, at the age of 101 years old. Leonard was born on January 27, 1924, in Holland, MI. Upon high school graduation, he, along with his classmates of the Holland High School Class of 1942, went to fight in World War II.

Leonard proudly served in the US Army during World War II and served under General Patton during the Allied liberation of France. Leonard later wrote a book documenting his wartime service. The book was called "Memories."

Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Leonard began his career with Herman Miller, where he rose to be a supervisor. He was known for his patience and soft-spoken nature.

Leonard was a devoted husband to Dorothy (Van Bragt), whom he was married to for 66 years and who preceded him in death in 2014. They were devout Catholics and instilled their love of their faith while raising their son, Leonard Victor Jr. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Linda, along with a grandson, Leland.

For the last few years, Leonard was a resident of Resthaven Maplewood, which he called home and received compassionate care from a loving staff.

An evening visitation will be held at Dykstra Funeral Home (Northwood Chapel) on Friday, May 30th, from 5pm to 8 pm.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Saturday, May 31st, at 11am, with a visitation held an hour before.
