Leon E. Rithamel, age 80, of Holland, died on Friday July 1, 2011 in Tendercare of Holland.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Rithamel in 1999.

Leon served as a volunteer fireman for Park Township 2 for over twenty years.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Dorothy Jordan Rithamel; his children Terry and Gloria Rithamel of Zeeland, Christi Faltinowski of Holland, Pamela and Rodger Blanchard of Ocala, Fl, Scott Rithamel and Tina Tyler of Warsaw, OH, and Brenda Riddle of Ocala, FL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; his step-children, Shirley Tyson of South Haven, Larry and Rose Eberhart of Holland, Gene and Gena Jordan of LeRoy, MI, Cathy and Randy Arens of Holland, Terry and Linda Jordan of South Haven, Sandra and Scott Wolters of West Olive, Vicki and Mark Wilson of Hamilton, and Mark and Jennifer Jordan of Wayland; several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; his sister, Lavern and Bill Borr of Holland; his sister, Jeanette Van Huis of Houston, TX; several nieces and nephews; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held from 2-4-and 7-9pm on Wednesday July 6, 2011 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd Street.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday July 7, 2011 in the chapel of Central Wesleyan Church, 446 West 40th Street with Rev. Lynn Bruce officiating.

Burial will take place in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
